The prototype
14 bogie dry powder forced discharge hopper wagons built by Procor in 1972 were initially used for sodium tripolyphosphate, a key detergent ingredient from Albright & Wilson in Whitehaven for Procter and Gamble in Essex. The prototype and four others were written off in 1977 following an accident. The traffic ceased in 1986. This was predominantly a block working, but sometimes used the ‘Speedlink’ network.

They were transferred to carry corn starch from Trafford Park, Manchester, mainly to paper mills in Scotland. They often travelled as single wagons, unlike previously, initially on ‘Speedlink’ and later the ‘EWS Enterprise’ network. They were initially repainted in the short-lived Corn Products (cpc) white livery. In 1987 Corn Products were taken over and the company name changed to Cerestar. They ran until 2000 when the traffic ceased.
The Kit: NGSK0820 – Kit 82
The model is a two-piece 3D-printed moulding, main body and below solebar pipe detail, and runs on accurate GPS 22.5 bogies on 5.1mm wheelsets, to get the correct ride height.

A transfer sheet is in development to cover the three main liveries. The first drafts of which are shown below:
