The N Gauge Society has two display stands; the Exhibition Stand and the smaller Show Stand. This page tells you about the Show Stand.
The Show Stand acts as:
- an information point, telling visitors what the N Gauge Society is all about
- a place where visitors can sign up to become members of the N Gauge Society
- a place where existing members can renew their membership of the N Gauge Society
- a shop where existing members can make purchases from the stand itself, rather than using our online shop.
On average the Mini Stand attends 2 events each month.
What does the Show Stand look like?
The Show Stand comprises five information board which promotes the following N Gauge Society facilities:
- N Gauge Society (Online) Shop
- Benefits of N Gauge Society Membership and a list of the various types of membership and the associated membership fees.
- N Gauge Society Area Groups information
- List of Area Group Points of Contact
- Map of the local Area with the locations of Area Groups Identified
- Map of the UK identifying all the area groups in the British Isles
- Latest News – hot of the press news, sometimes before it is seen in the Journal
- Show Stand Shop Information
- Current Stock & Stock Levels
The Show Stand also has two dioramas for displaying N Gauge Society Exclusive Ready-to-Run Models, and a central rotating turntable for displaying models.
There are also two running tracks (one DC and one DCC) running NGS Stock. Please note there is also the option to use this track to test anything you have bought at the event. Just ask for assistance.
Information for Exhibition Managers
The N Gauge Society Mini Stand makes an excellent addition to your model railway event, helping visitors connect with like-minded modellers and get involved in the hobby. And, of course, it acts as a magnet for existing N Gauge Society members to meet members of their Committee.

What can I buy from the Show Stand?
Our Mini Stand manager maintains a list of items you can buy from the stand, and this is shown in the searchable table below. Please remember, use of the N Gauge Society is one of the benefits of membership; only current members can make purchases from us. Please remember to bring along proof of membership – for example the Membership Card that accompanies each issue of your Journal.
Please note, quantities are accurate prior to a given exhibition. So, if you’re after a particular item we’d encourage you to make the N Gauge Society stand one of the first things you visit!
